Operating system is the software that supports a computer's basic functions. Such as scheduling tasks, executing applications, and controlling electronic equipments such as mouse, monitor, trackpad, and etc. [1]
OS is like an instructor. It tells all process to run a computer.[2]
Examples of operating systems: Mac OS X, Windows XP, and UNIX. [3]
