Week 2: HL Start Portfolio
Week 3-4: (Feb 11-)
  • HL: Submit Portfolio Plan and have topic approved
  • Work on E-Commerce presentation and wiki page
Week 5: (Feb 25)
  • HL: All portfolio topics should be approved. Check Portfolio page for updates on first draft and final essay due dates
  • All students: E-Commerce presentation and final wiki page will be due on Wednesday Feb 28. There will be no extensions to this. Read the assessment rubric for this topic carefully before then
  • Policies and standards (complete by next Sunday)
Week 6: (March 4)
  • Area of Impact Business and Employment
    • Application software: WP and DTP (practical project)
Week 7: (March 11)
  • HL: Portfolio Draft of Criterion A and B due this week (attach bibliography as well)

End of Year Exams


(ITGS: Monday June 4, session 2)
Grade 11 will sit one paper (2 hours) based on a Paper 2 style question format:
  • All students (HL and SL) will sit the same paper and answer three questions
  • All students will answer one compulsory question and then choose two questions from a selection of three
  • Questions will be based on the Areas of Impact (remember there will be some joining of areas) and take material from the Horizon Project (Social Networking, Mobile Phones and Virtual Worlds as a main focus) as well as other ITGS work done throughout the year

Semester 2 Report (assessment) will be based on the following:
  • Examination paper: 60%
  • Class Task E-Commerce: 10%
  • Class assignment Horizon Project 30%

Week 7: ATMs: Good or Bad? (Completed Oct 8)
Week 8: Software Piracy (Complete by Oct 18)
Week 9-11: Voice-Over-Internet Protocol (VOIP) (Started Oct 15)

Semester 1 Report (assessment) will be based on the following:
  • Examination paper: 40%
  • Class tasks: 30% (authenticity, integrity, sw fundamentals, ATMs, piracy, VOIP)
  • Class assignment Flat Classroom Project: 30% (see assessment rubric)
